Hola from Spain (day 1)

This morning around 7:00am in Spain time my mom, dad, grandma cook,  grandpa cook, and I landed in Madrid, Spain!  That's not where the trip began so let's go to the beginning.  It all started in the big apple New York City.  Here we go!

On Friday night my mom, dad, and I drove down to my aunt kristina and her boyfriend (Silvio)'s house in Manhatten.   Once we got there around 10:00pm we had some pizza and had tons of fun.  The next day we walked all around NYC.  We went to my favorite place - Dylans Candy Bar.  It is filled with candy which is great for the name!!  If you watch the show Gossip Girl this picture will make sense to you - here is the picture...

This is where Dan and Vanessa stood when they were talking and getting black licorice swirls!!        OMG!!  8-)

After, my mom, dad, and I drove to JFK airport in New York City.  There we caught a red-eye flight with my grandma and grandpa cook.

Welcome to Madrid, Spain!!  

Our hotel is beautiful and in a very good location.  All we did today was walk around not to exciting but very beautiful.  Not much to take pictures of but the one to the left is just a quick shot I got.  The temperature is gorgeous and sunny.  I'll take more pictures tomorrow on some of the walking tours that we do. (they are in my mom's Madrid book)  Adios 8-)

February Break

      My parents and I are big on traveling around the world.  Tonight at around 5:30 my mom, dad, and I drove down to my aunt kristina and her boyfriend silvio's apartment to spend the night in NYC.  Tomorrow my aunt, her boyfriend, my mom, my dad, and I will walk all around NYC and then at 6:00pm my dad, mom, and I will catch a "red eye" plane to Madrid, Spain with my grandma and grandpa cook for a week.  We get back on Friday the 20th and I will make sure to put a lot of pictures on my blog.  Make sure to check out my blog all through out this week. Happy Valentines Day!

School Today (2-9-09)

Today school was pretty boring!  In reading all we did was read four pages in our textbook and we had to do two workbook pages. After I had Science.  It was a little more exciting since all we did was take a really easy quiz and after talk for a half an hour.  Next we had math!  That's always fun.  I am in accelerated math which means that you go faster than the normal math class.  My friend Emily and I are the only ones in the class.  Our teacher let us measure angles in a fun way.  Fun fact- if you look through a see through, colored, plastic protractor it looks like your wearing sunglasses and some times it looks like the room is that color.  You should try it its fun!  Anyway after I had English you got to love your pronouns!!  If you really want to know the worst subject of all it was right after English.  This is the absolute worst subject at my school and EVERYONE  at my school can agree.  Its called... Social Studies!!!  We listen just its hard when you're really tired, but since we are good kids we listen most of the time, just not very attentively.

Once that was finally over we had lunch.  I had soup made from a Campbell's can.  Then we got to go outside for recess!  When we came in side our class talked with our teacher about whats happening for our Valentine party.  I already got my valentines and they are the best ever!  They're Elmo.  Everyone loves a big red furry dude.  Emily, Steffy, Jessica and I (friends) had to go to flute lessons.  Since we had band we missed Art.  All my class did in Art was make valentine pop-out cards.  I was at first angry that I had to miss Art, but then they told me what they did and I felt better about missing Art.  

That's what I did today.  Now I am off to take a walk with my mom, dad, and this dog I walk that lives across the street. After the walk I am sitting my but on the sofa and I am watching my DVRed Grammies!  Also at 8 I got to watch Gossip Girl.
